Job Summary:
The Radiology Technologist II independently performs a wide range of imaging procedures and demonstrates proficiency in multiple modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets and assists patients, explain procedures clearly, and ensure appropriate attire for procedure.
- Performs routine and complex radiographic exams and imaging procedures, including OR and fluoroscopy procedures following established protocols; position patients accurately.
- Selects and applies appropriate technical factors based on body habitus and pathology; maintains attention to patient and equipment during procedures.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of imaging equipment and ensures proper operation.
- Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and verifies image quality.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- 2+ years of related experience
Licenses & Certifications:
- Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards (SCRQS) certification
Essential Skills:
- Strong computer skills.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
