We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards within a warehouse environment.
Duties
- Accurately pack products for shipment, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit.
- Perform quality control checks to verify that all items meet company standards before packing.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
- Load and unload items from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist in picking and packing orders as required, maintaining an organised workspace.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely when necessary, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area, including proper storage of materials.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve packing processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
