Reporting to the Senior Claims Technician, you will be an active member of the Support function within the region with the objective of providing effective support to Adjusters and improving efficiency in handling commercial claims.

The Role

  • Administration of new claims including receiving instruction, issuing acknowledgments, setting up files and risk screening/triaging.
  • Working closely with Adjusters to assist with investigation and validation enquiries.
  • Managing the lifecycle of the files to drive diary management and support proactive claim handling from setup to conclusion.
  • Overseeing Adjuster caseloads during periods of leave when necessary.
  • Liaising with insured, insurers, brokers and other stakeholders to ensure optimal customer service and act as a point of contact where needed.
  • Aiding the production of technical reports for Adjusters in line with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring time reporting and billing complies with internal standards, processing and systems.
  • Developing and running management information for clients and internal use, including performance measurement and data integrity reports.
  • Ensuring company standards are met for technical and operational policies, including data protection and information security.
  • Account management support where required.
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and resolving queries.
  • Invoicing.
  • Other ad hoc work as required.

About You – Knowledge And Experience

  • Experience in claims handling including caseload management.
  • Current or near-term CILA/CII qualification progress.
  • Organised with the ability to self-manage workload, methodical, accurate and analytical with high regard for output quality.
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, clear, concise and structured.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to work with team, colleagues and third parties.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet/exceed targets.
  • Flexibility with travel as needed.
