Purpose

We currently have several exciting opportunities to join our growing specialist Casualty Team, as a Casualty Field Adjuster. All roles require some previous loss adjusting or casualty claims handling experience and will be home based within the UK. Reporting to one of our Executive Managers, you will be responsible for handling a broad portfolio of casualty claims (injury and third-party property damage) from investigation to settlement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Investigating, negotiating and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner.
  • Liaising with insured, insurers, third parties and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims.
  • Completing on site investigations for claims.
  • Producing reports in compliance with professional standards, internal guidelines and with agreed timescales.

We are seeking claims professionals with experience in either the commercial loss adjusting sector, an insurance company claims team, or an allied profession. This experience is essential. You will ideally be working towards professional qualifications (CII or CILA). The role demands highly motivated and well organised individuals who thrive under pressure. It requires ownership of a portfolio of claims and flexibility to respond to urgent client needs, or to assist colleagues. Teamwork is essential, but you will also need the ability to work independently. You must demonstrate a focus on quality, oral and written communication and organisational skills. You will have proven capability in negotiation, decision making, and problem solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management. An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative. A proven, positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would be advantageous. Due to the geographic coverage of the roles travel will be required.
