This hybrid role reports to the Billing Manager within the Finance Department at our London Headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Managing WIP and billing activities for a portfolio of LWI adjusters.
- Ensure adjusters submit timesheets in a timely manner and process them into our system.
- Work towards monthly group and individual revenue targets.
- Reduce aged WIP within your area.
- Handle billing across multiple currencies for companies in various countries.
- Adhere to strict market/client billing requirements.
- Work with the credit control team and insurers to resolve invoice queries.
- Collaborate closely with adjusters, insurers, and brokers.
- Upload invoices onto various portals including Legal X.
- Seek assistance from adjustors to resolve outstanding issues.
- Work with adjusters to ensure correct fee reserves are processed to ECF.
- Process LWI fees into Class, ECF, and Gemini.
- Maintain systems/master data with updated comments as invoices are issued to clients.
- Assist overseas LWI offices with complicated billing.
- Complete reports for various business areas.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Achieving individual billing target.
- Reducing WIP Days Outstanding.
- Reducing the WIP provision / aged WIP.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Significant demonstrable experience in billing in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Ability to follow set processes and think outside the box to resolve a query or chase a client.
- Accurate keeping of records.
- Excellent work ethic with a proactive attitude.
- IT literate with advanced Word and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and V‑Lookups.
- Experience with various accounting or bespoke systems and internal data management systems.
- Excellent query resolution and ability to use all available systems to resolve queries.
- Client‑focused, good at establishing and building relationships.
- Experience in raising billing issues with senior staff.
- Experience in organising work to ensure objectives are met.
- Clear, professional, concise, and structured communication, internally and with clients.
- Enjoy working in a team and independently.
- Self‑motivation and self‑management of workload.
- Enjoys challenges and resolves queries with a positive attitude and persona.
