We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader within our Real Estate, Casualty Team based in either Chelmsford or Glasgow, this role will be office based. Reporting to the Real Estate Casualty Lead, you will provide management support to desk-based Account Handlers ensuring the success of the Real Estate team.
Key Accountabilities
- To lead and manage a team of desk-based claims handlers to ensure they provide the highest standards of customer service to our clients.
- Motivating the team to do their job efficiently and ensure targets and personal goals are achieved.
- Management of the allocation of new claims.
- Management and checking of the Real Estate reports for distribution.
- The ability to deal with technical referrals from the team.
- Management of team workflow to ensure all absences and holidays are covered.
- Management of the holiday calendar/authorisations.
- Monthly 1 to 1 meetings with team, completing appraisals within McLarens required timescales.
- Overseeing and monitoring the progress of the desk-based teams claims.
- Identifying training needs in the team and implementing any necessary training.
- Account management support where required.
- Ability to deal with complaint calls received in the team.
- Other ad hoc work as required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to communicate in a clear, concise and structured manner.
- 3 years' experience in handling liability claims (public liability essential).
- 3 years working as a team leader or supervisor.
- Excellent stakeholder management with an ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
- Thrive in a high-pressured working environment.
- Be driven to meet and exceed targets set for the Real Estate Team.
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Travel may be required as and when so flexibility is a must.
