The opportunity involves handling a broad portfolio of claims, from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures, including data protection and information security.

Key Accountabilities

  • Investigate, negotiate and agree settlement of claims in a professional manner.
  • Liaise with insured, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims.
  • Complete on-site investigations and damage surveys for claims.
  • Produce reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines within agreed timescales.
  • Actively contribute toward McLarens’ business development programme.
  • Network, identify and facilitate opportunities for business growth.
  • Undertake projects and other ad-hoc work as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Candidates must be CILA qualified (or progressing well) with other industry qualifications being a distinct advantage.
  • Proven experience in the property loss adjusting sector and demonstrable focus on quality, communication, technical and organisational skills.
  • Capability in negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management, and an ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • A proven, positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would also be advantageous.
  • Travel is required due to the geographic coverage of the role.
