As a Manufacturing Quality Skilled Inspector, you will be part of the Inspection team within Manufacturing Quality, being responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and automotive parts used in the manufacturing process meet the required quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting and validating parts to ensure they comply with company and industry standards. The Skilled Inspection technician will work closely with the production teams, and support functions to support the resolution of quality issues and ensure consistent product quality.
- Inspect the various shops within manufacturing to ensure the outputs match planned requirements, documenting any deviations from standard within our quality management system.
- Collaborate with production and support functions as required to support in the resolution of quality issues.
- Use precision measuring tools and testing equipment to check dimensions, tolerances, and performance.
- Support daily Quality meetings.
- Inputting and maintaining data within Excel and our Systems for Quality Management as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and increasing efficiency.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve inspection processes and overall product quality.
- Engage in regular training and development to stay current with the latest inspection techniques and industry advancements.
Requirements:
- Understanding and experience in a quality/manufacturing/process driven environment is a must.
- Expertise of working to process instructions with a good understanding of quality standards and how to apply them.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team or autonomously as required.
