As a Senior Development Engineer within McLaren Customer Racing, you will lead the technical development, validation, and continuous improvement of McLaren GT racing cars. You will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance across global racing series.
What You’ll Do
- Lead development and qualification testing activities to validate performance, durability, and compliance of GT racing vehicles.
- Translate technical requirements into robust test definitions, procedures, and engineering deliverables.
- Define, specify, and oversee the use of test equipment and instrumentation for development programmes.
- Plan, manage, and execute on‑site and off‑site testing, including endurance, vibration, environmental, and performance testing.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret test and track data to drive performance gains and support investigations.
- Provide technical support during race events and test days.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Produce technical documentation, test reports, and development summaries.
