1 x Finishing Manager - industrial shed fit out / Substation Rockcliffe Carlisle CA6 4EZ

£300.00 per day

Key Skills:

  • CSCS, SMSTS, Time served apprenticeship preferred but not essential
  • Qualifications appreciated but not essential
  • Interface with subcontractors on site
  • Eye for detail with an emphasis on quality & client sign off's
  • Sub-contractor management, programme control and input
  • Q/A, coordination of trades in an industrial/commercial construction arena circa £20 million
  • Report issues to the Fit out PM
  • Support the fit out PM as a presence on site
  • No office work required
  • Extensive experience in managing fit out sub contractors and coordinating with M&P trades & Manager
  • Able to hit the ground running and take control of the programme, quality and H&S at site level
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • 08.00-17.00, 5 days a week on site
  • Given location, stopping away must be acceptable to the applicant

Direct daily report to Project Manager

Work closely with MEP Manager

Ad hoc fit out procurement assistance and advice

Co-ordination for access requirements with other trades and Joint venture managers

Chair progress and supply chain meetings where required

Review programmes and provide status updates to the team as necessary

Information sharing

Good communicator and team player

Can be professional and client facing where required

Good at problem solving and solutions

Appreciation of design management and liaison with designers to sort issues and unblock problems and/or information flow

Substation Installation experience a bonus but not essential

The scope covers:

  • Raised access flooring
  • Joinery - door sets 1st & 2nd fix joinery
  • Painting
  • Epoxy flooring
  • Vinyl flooring
  • Fire stopping
  • Builders work openings
