We are looking for an experienced Shuttering Joiner / Formwork Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing and dismantling timber and other formwork systems used for reinforced concrete structures.

This is a hands-on site-based role requiring good carpentry skills, attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Set out and construct timber shuttering and formwork to drawings and specifications.
- Install and dismantle formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs.
- Measure, cut and assemble timber and other materials accurately.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ensure formwork is level, plumb, secure and correctly aligned before concrete is poured.
- Work with steel reinforcement and other trades where required.
- Inspect completed formwork and rectify any defects or issues.
- Maintain tools, equipment and the work area in a safe and tidy condition.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures.
- Work effectively with site managers, engineers and other trades.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Joiner, Shuttering Carpenter or Formwork Carpenter.
- Strong knowledge of formwork and concrete construction.
- Good practical carpentry and measuring skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Ability to work accurately to measurements and specifications.
- Good understanding of construction-site health and safety.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable working on active construction sites.
- Relevant qualifications or CSCS certification are desirable/required depending on site requirements.
