Purpose of the Role: To act as the central point of contact for commercial, branding, travel, and governance activities across the series, ensuring seamless execution of driver requirements, team kit and merchandise, customer experiences, and partner activations. The role supports alignment between commercial objectives and operational delivery, maintaining brand integrity and optimising stakeholder engagement.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Driver Requirements Outside of Races: Manage MTC, Commercial and SIM scheduling. Coordinate helmet branding, ensuring compliance with partner conflicts and implementing visor branding changes per race. Oversee driver cap orders and availability. Schedule commercial time for drivers, working closely with counterpart in United who will schedule racing commitments.
  • Team Travel: Act as liaison between the commercial team and travel department. Build the travel matrix and operational briefings for the travelling team. Lead operational pre-event briefing sessions for onsite team. Coordinate delivery of stickers and any commercial freight.
  • Partnerships: Support where required on partnership activations. Work closely with the show car team on show car preparation and use (partner and non-partner). Development of partner product/competitor guides, supporting partnerships & race team in ensuring key products are issued to team members and appropriate action taken with conflicting products. Support Partnerships through gifting plans, partner onboarding timelines, speedmark contributions, asset management and reporting.
  • Branding Oversight: Conduct onsite checks for assets including overalls, cars, garage, hub, and hospitality areas. Liaise with the brand and brand management team to develop pre-season timing plans, and coordinate with external suppliers to ensure timelines and deliverables stay on track.
  • Team Kit, Technical Wear, B2B & Merch: Act as the main interface between the team, licensing and clothing. Manage branding timelines and delivery to United Autosport. Liaise with partner B2B merch team to resolve issues and track timelines. Interface with the merchandise team to ensure orders are planned 18 months in advance for activations. Archiving of technical wear and trophies etc.
  • Brand Experience and Customer Journeys: Manage the Exec briefing/Race Summary doc process ahead of races/events with support from all authors. Ensure assets are available to support the customer journey (race and track cars, Licensing eg. Richard Mille watches). Liaison with McLaren Automotive for trackside and other WEC event coordination including dealership visits, hotlaps, parade laps etc. Coordination of the Commercial race attendees to events including travel, catering and accreditation. Support hospitality at races where required: garage tours, credentials, driver meet-and-greets, garage updates. Support all freighting of gifting and production requirements.
  • Interface with United Autosport: Support fly away team hub fit outs. Support European team hub set up and operation. Oversee, in conjunction with Brand Experience, the McLaren level of guest experience integration into the Team Hub environment. Collaboration on driver team, team race attendance and credentials.
  • Team Governance: Management of series SharePoint dashboard and series master document file storage (dashboard links to dept current file storage convention). Align processes and ensure consistency with those used by McLaren Racing. Ownership of team meeting agendas, actions, outputs and team calendar (including annual leave and cover plans). Including regular meeting cadence with ACO / WEC. Lead commercial race debriefs and learnings. Responsible for the commercial timeline planner, ensuring key events (such as races/tests, partner events, industry events) and campaigns (licensing products, milestones and deadlines are captured, kept up to date and visibility is provided to relevant commercial and electric racing stakeholders. Prepare series, commercial reporting decks and department updates. Liaise with Brand Strategy to ensure series sales materials are current (case studies, images, updates). Liaise with Internal Communications to ensure key moments are communicated including Team Principal and driver videos and competitions. Track pulse survey focus areas and improvements. Schedule and prepare key meetings. Maintain stakeholder engagement plans for key team members.
