We are seeking a Technical Sourcer (6 Month FTC) to transform how we find and engage talent through modern, AI-augmented sourcing strategies. Working with the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will play a critical role in identifying exceptional people who will drive McLaren Racing’s success, while pioneering new, tech-enabled approaches to Talent Acquisition. This role blends proactive sourcing and market engagement with the introduction of AI-led tools, automation, and talent intelligence. You will build stronger, more diverse talent pipelines and improve speed, efficiency, quality, and insight across hiring processes.

Role Dimensions:

  • Specialist sourcing and talent intelligence role at the intersection of Talent Acquisition and technology innovation
  • Works closely with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers across commercial, business performance and technical functions
  • Owns and executes sourcing strategies end-to-end
  • Strong focus on passive candidate engagement and talent mapping
  • Supports the adoption and embedding of AI tools, automation and emerging sourcing technology within day to day sourcing and recruitment workflows
  • Operates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment requiring flexibility and collaboration

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing (AI-Enabled): Develop and deliver proactive sourcing approaches aligned to agreed hiring strategies, using traditional and AI-enabled methods to expand reach, improve speed and enhance quality of hire
  • AI & Tool Innovation: Apply and optimise AI tools, automation workflows and sourcing platforms to enhance pipeline generation, ensuring responsible and compliant use. Provide feedback and recommendations to inform future tool selection and development
  • Talent Mapping & Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and talent mapping, translating insights into actionable intelligence and provide input to inform broader Talent Acquisition strategies
  • Passive Candidate Engagement: Design and deliver multi-channel outreach strategies to engage passive talent, combining automation with personalised communication
  • Pipeline Development & Talent Communities: Build and maintain high-quality, diverse talent pipelines and talent communities aligned to current and future hiring needs
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers to inform role requirements, deliver against agreed sourcing plans, and provide data-driven insights to support decision making
  • Candidate Experience: Deliver a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication, balancing efficiency through technology with a personalised approach
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Broaden talent pools and reduce bias through inclusive sourcing strategies and responsible use of AI tools
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify practical opportunities to improve sourcing activity, workflows and tools; measure effectiveness and provide feedback to support the ongoing evolution of Talent Acquisition practices

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven expertise in talent sourcing, research or Talent Acquisition
  • Strong experience using sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean/X-ray search, talent databases)
  • Demonstrated success in engaging passive candidates and building pipelines
  • Experience in talent mapping and market intelligence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sourcing data and insights

Desirable:

  • Experience applying AI-driven sourcing tools, automation platforms or talent CRMs to improve efficiency, engagement and hiring outcomes
  • Familiarity with a variety of ATS and/or CRM platforms
  • Exposure to recruitment analytics or advanced sourcing technologies
