Purpose of the Role: As a Graduate in the Aero Design team, you will be responsible for designing race car aerodynamic surfaces, wind tunnel model parts, and assemblies. Playing a crucial role in supporting project execution, your primary responsibility is to collaborate with team members to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Part of the Aero Design team, responsible for designing aero surfaces and wind tunnel model components.
  • Closely collaborating with the Aero Design team, aerodynamicists, CFD, model makers, production team, Wind Tunnel technicians, R&D team, and Vehicle Engineering team.
  • This role is factory-based but may involve occasional travel.
  • This role is predominantly carried out during standard working hours but will sometimes include additional hours and weekends.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Gain proficiency in CAD methodologies, workflows, and your specific development area.
  • Understand and apply relevant Formula 1 regulations to your development work.
  • Support the design of aerodynamic surfaces, wind tunnel model parts, and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
  • Execute tasks in line with established engineering standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aeronautical engineering or related field experience.
  • 3D CAD knowledge.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings.
  • Formula Student and industrial experience advantageous.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
