Finance Business Partner responsible for outsourced manufacturing and integrated supply chain activities. Key member of Manufacturing and Finance senior management teams reporting into Head of Finance for operations & procurement. Responsible for supervising & development of one direct report. Responsible for financial management and oversight of Lifestyle manufacturing.

What You'll Do

  • Full financial management and support of lifestyle manufacturing.
  • Business partner support for all associated costs for lifestyle manufacturing prior to production and supporting with delivery on budget & approval of changes through governance processes.
  • Devise and manage processes for cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.
  • Annual fixed costs ~ £100m.
  • Annual variable costs ~ £100m.
  • Capital investment ~ £150m.
  • Month end closure, process improvement and proactive business partner support for all financial aspects of outsourced manufacturing including headcount.
  • Programme gateway support with detailed casual factor analysis against prior gateways, targets and business plans.
  • Ensure all Directors and Heads-of have full budget responsibility for their areas, that this is reported on, and appropriate targets are set, managed and controlled.
  • An integral part of the Manufacturing Operations team so that all decisions are made having been fully analysed by both the team and finance.
  • Control and maintain live register of risks and opportunities and communicate to business partners.
  • Play a key role to support the Operations leadership team in respect of outsourced manufacturing & supply chain.
  • In conjunction with Manufacturing Management Team, develop and report against key manufacturing KPIs both financial and non-financial.
  • Ensure robust development of "best practice" automotive manufacturing techniques and measurement.
  • Liaison with external auditors on items of CoGs, WIP and raw materials.
  • Develop reports to follow best practice, encouraging knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant with proven post qualified experience.
  • Demonstrable experience within a cross functional business; operations engineering and product development, fast-paced and ever evolving environment.
  • Experience of business partnering with sales & marketing and/or operations and product development.
  • Experience of team management in a lead management position with cross functional outward facing business partnering experience.
  • Provides examples of change management and process implementation.
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement approach to work, including but not limited to, identifying areas for process improvements and implementing robust solutions.
  • SAP and managing SAP standardization/new processes would be an advantage.
  • Experience in managing budget control, forecast and reporting to manage multiple areas of cost and activity with multiple stakeholders in order to deliver the collective whole on target.
  • To manage the trade-offs and risks and opportunities, working collectively to deliver improvements across the business.
