We\’re seeking a Digital Experience Design Manager to join McLaren\’s world class creative team. Reporting to our Head of Creative Strategy, you will be pinnacle in the positive provocation of digital look and feel, relating to traditional norms of UX design. You will have an emphasis on harmony between geometry and the digital A-surface, through an editorial and graphical eye. Leaning more into aesthetical layering over broader cross-functional applications of HMI, you will nevertheless collaborate deeply with the UI/UX teams to create high levels of luxury aesthetic, digitally.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage team of all digital content, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for specific digital products and features across the brand, with a strong focus on the luxury digital look and feel.
  • Be the overall design taste maker for the digital A-surface, expertly advising on font, graphics and colours alongside the Creative Strategy direction, including CMF and wider materiality.
  • Build new and elevate existing cross-functional partnerships, communicating clearly and at an expert level for ultimate collaboration and integration of the digital design strategy onto HMI defined bandwidths.
  • Manage the conduction of comprehensive analogous industry research across the digital world of Fashion/Product/Architecture etc, feeding this into our automotive world innovatively.
  • Collaborate on a management level with software engineers and digital product managers to create a cohesive and strategic digital design DNA that enhances luxury customer experiences.
  • Manage team of digital creatives, guiding them to success and nurturing world class digital content as well as team morale, workloads and operational excellence.
    Expert in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite/ Figma/future digital systems/tools for enhancement of design work.
  • Robust problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to iterate and refine designs based on feedback and testing outcomes.
  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them to senior stakeholders.
  • Expert communication and collaboration skills, with proven experience working effectively within cross-functional teams and being an excelling team player.
  • Proven people management experience guiding teams and implementing digital design strategies in previous roles.
  • Degree in Design related field (or similar) or equivalent work experience in a Digital Design related role.
