Job Description

As a CNC Machining Technician, you will work within our machine shop team to help Manufacturing Engineering and our Machinists produce high-quality components for our racing cars.

You will build and pre-set tooling assemblies, prepare and operate machines, support component finishing and ensure materials and job packs are ready when needed. Your contribution will help us deliver projects and car upgrades efficiently, supporting performance at every race.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and restock the tooling vending system, building and pre-setting spindle tooling assemblies in line with set-up sheets.
  • Prepare and operate multi-axis CNC machine tools, including changing and setting jigs, fixtures and spindle tooling.
  • Prepare job packs and raw materials, working with the metal stores and machining team to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and tooling records, complete planned machine maintenance activities and support high workplace standards.
  • Carry out hand finishing, careful handling and packing of metallic and additively manufactured components, while contributing positively to shop-floor safety.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Experience operating CNC machine tools within a precision manufacturing environment.
  • An understanding of small-batch component manufacture, ideally gained in motorsport, aerospace or a similar industry.
  • The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and practical skills for tasks such as deburring, tapping, component handling and packing.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills, with the ability to create documents and maintain accurate records.
