McLaren Packaging is an exciting business who specialise in drinks packaging and have a strong focus on growth. We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Senior Sales Professional to come and join our fantastic team. With a key focus on customer centred growth, we’re looking for someone who can drive sales across our key customers, predominantly in the drinks and spirits industries across Scotland. This role reports directly to the sales and marketing director and the successful candidate will take the lead on building outstanding customer relationships and delivering exceptional customer experience through their customer first mentality. They’ll work across our full range of paper based packaging products with responsibility for driving revenue growth by developing and delivering successful sales strategies for key clients. This role requires a results-driven individual with deep expertise in sales, a strong understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will have proven success in developing sales processes, and closing high-value deals. Senior Account Manager – Responsibilities : * Drive consistent revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, upselling to existing customers, and ensuring customer retention * Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Act as the main point of contact for important accounts, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues that arise while liaising with our in house support team. * Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and trackers. Track key performance metrics and report to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and future opportunities * Take the lead on sales negotiations, closing high-value deals with key clients, ensuring contract terms are favourable for the business * Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors. Provide insights to shape product offerings and marketing strategies. * Work closely with design, NPD, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and alignment with overall company strategies Senior Account Manager – Qualifications & Requirements: * Minimum 3 years experience working in paper based packaging * Minimum 5 years experience working with dinks and with whisky experience an advantage Senior Account Manager – Skills and attributes : * Able to build strong and lasting customer relationships * Strong leadership abilities. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Ability to analyse data, market trends, and customer behaviour to drive decision-making. * Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools. * Highly motivated and results-oriented. * Ability to work in a dynamic environment. * Strong sense of accountability and integrity * Able to work cross functionally as part of a wider team What you’ll get in return The chance to work within a well established, exciting business with a strong focus on growth.
