We have an excellent opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to join our team of designers at our state of the art site in Livingstone. Reporting to the design team manager, you'll contribute to the overall performance of the print team by delivering high quality, accurate packaging art work for a wide range of luxury food and drink products. Main Purpose of Role * To receive, risk assess and prepare customer artwork for customer approval and production. * To generate repro and print ready, error-free artwork in compliance with our internal guidelines, self checking work produced * To ensure all job data is filed in the correct place and follows the departmental naming convention * To liaise with Production, Project Managers and Quality Control in a professional manner. * To maintain, and where possible improve, the efficiency of the Department to ensure the service and delivery we provide to our clients and Production teams is best in class * To review and advise customers on received artwork issues, improvements and options * To positively contribute towards meeting the company’s Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental & Production Objectives * To change consumables and carry out calibration and maintenance of studio machinery as and when it is required. * Collate customer approvals for carton design on artwork * Value engineer existing work to maximise efficiencies at Print, Die Cut and Blocking presses Requirements * Previous Artwork & Reprographics experience in lithographic packaging, including the Litho Print Process * An in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of Packaging & Hybrid / ESKO systems. * Able to produce a wide range of high-quality Artwork to meet tight deadlines Key attributes * Accuracy and consistency * Ability to prioritise * Good written and oral communication skills * A focus on delivering excellene for Customers * Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team What we offer in return: * Hours of Work : Mon – Thurs 07.45 – 16.30 and 07.45am-13.45 with a competative salary, dependant on experience * 31 days paid holiday per year (inclusive of bank holidays) * Pension; Life insurance; Private healthcare
