Overview

In this role you will own and evolve the systems engineering tooling landscape at Mc Laren Automotive, shaping the roadmap for requirements capture, analysis, workflow automation and AI-enabled improvements.

You will develop and maintain integrated toolchains to enhance traceability, testability and delivery quality, while enabling Jama-based ways of working across the business.

You’ll train and support users, driving continuous improvement and governance of engineering artifacts.

This is a hands-on position with impact across engineering and programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the systems engineering tooling roadmap, including AI application and analytics
  • Develop, configure and maintain core toolchains to enable traceable, testable engineering outputs
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements through automation and fit-for-purpose tooling
  • Support Jama users with onboarding, training materials and ongoing guidance
  • Maintain governance, standards and data discipline across tools, templates and workflows
  • Key requirements
  • Experience with systems engineering tools and requirements management platforms
  • Strong understanding of requirements traceability and artefact delivery
  • Hands-on experience configuring and improving integrated toolchains
  • Experience supporting Jama users through onboarding and training
  • Hands-on software development with Python, Java and C++, plus distributed systems knowledge
  • Ability to translate business needs into tooling or workflow enhancements
  • Awareness of AI capabilities and their appropriate application in engineering processes
