This is an opportunity to play a key role in bringing future McLaren vehicles to the road. You'll work with a global network of suppliers responsible for the structural components that sit at the core of every car we build, helping them deliver the quality, performance and innovation that define the McLaren brand. What You'll Do
- Take ownership of a global Body in White (BIW) supplier portfolio, supporting components that form the structural foundation of McLaren vehicles.
- Lead supplier sourcing, assessment and qualification activities, ensuring partners can meet McLaren's quality, delivery and performance expectations.
- Drive APQP and PPAP activities from concept through to production, ensuring robust launch readiness and successful programme delivery.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing and suppliers to improve product manufacturability and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Support new vehicle launches, ensuring suppliers consistently deliver high-quality components on time and to specification.
- Influence supplier leadership teams, manage risk, escalate critical issues and drive rapid problem resolution when challenges arise.
- Monitor supplier performance through audits, governance reviews and KPI management, driving continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Travel extensively across Europe and Asia, building strong supplier relationships and developing long-term capability within the supply chain.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience within Supplier Quality, Supplier Development or Quality Engineering within an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 environment.
- Strong knowledge of Body in White manufacturing processes, including structural stampings, aluminium castings, extrusions and complex assemblies.
- A solid understanding of automotive supply chains and the challenges involved in delivering complex, high-performance products.
- Expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and DMAIC.
- The ability to assess manufacturing capability, identify risk early and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge supplier organisations at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
- A degree in an engineering or technical discipline, combined with a passion for quality, continuous improvement and delivering exceptional products.
- A willingness to travel internationally and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment - up to 70% travel.
