Overview

In this role, you enable smooth inbound material flow to the McLaren Production Centre and act as the main link between Material Control, Internal Logistics, and suppliers. You will provide daily risk assessments for production start-up, manage supplier portfolios, and ensure on-time, in-full deliveries to support current programs. You will optimize inventory within budget targets and strengthen internal and external relationships to navigate evolving logistics challenges. This position offers an opportunity to influence production readiness, supplier collaboration, and inventory strategy in a fast-paced, premium automotive environment. Responsibilities

  • Own supplier logistics to ensure continuous inbound material flow
  • Act as out-of-hours escalation point for internal and external operations
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks early with proactive processes
  • Represent supply chain risks and opportunities in management reviews
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Use MRP/SAP to balance supply and demand and develop delivery plans
  • Maintain inventory within approved limits to minimize obsolescence and holding costs
  • Partner with Engineering for seamless part implementations and stock ramp-up schedules
  • Monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and logistics processes
  • Evaluate schedules against KPIs affecting materials and production planning

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments
  • Experience using MRP and/or SAP systems is desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills and data interpretation ability
  • Structured work organization and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
