Overview
As a Manufacturing Controls Engineer, you will safeguard vehicle build quality and production efficiency by designing and improving robust control and diagnostic processes.
You’ll provide hands-on support to resolve complex vehicle and production issues, ensuring compliant, auditable manufacturing solutions.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to protect conformity across VP, PP, SOP, and series production.
This role offers technical leadership in cross-functional settings and a meaningful impact on program delivery and product integrity.

Responsibilities
- Define and improve robust controls and diagnostic processes to protect build quality and production efficiency.
- Own technical response to complex vehicle, electrical, software, diagnostic, commissioning, and production-process issues from containment to permanent corrective action.
- Monitor adherence to processes, control plans, diagnostic sequences, software releases, coding standards, configuration rules, and escalation procedures; address deviations proactively.
- Use structured problem-solving to analyze defects, identify root cause, containment/recovery actions, and verify corrective action effectiveness.
- Provide hands-on support for End-of-Line testing, software download, coding, commissioning, traceability, fault diagnosis, rework, and vehicle release.
- Lead cross-functional issue-resolution, coordinate Engineering and supplier support, and escalate risks to protect program timing, quality, cost, and output.
- Demonstrate expertise in vehicle electrical/electronic control systems, CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, UDS/Do IP, and HV safety practices.
- Key requirements
- Significant experience in automotive controls, electrical/electronic systems, diagnostics, or related fields.
- Proven ability to resolve complex vehicle and production issues with containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and verification.
