b Overview /b p As a Manufacturing Engineer at McLaren Composite Technology Centre, you will drive continuous improvement across CNC machining of composites, enhancing quality, cost efficiency, cycle time, and equipment availability. You will lead the introduction of new composites products, processes, machinery and tooling, and be the primary engineering contact for Production and Maintenance. You’ll analyze data to deepen process understanding and support new product introductions, while maintaining robust process documentation and KPIs. This role offers hands-on impact in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment with opportunities to shape manufacturing processes. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Structured career development framework /li li 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays /li li Annual buy sell up to five days /li li Enhanced company pension scheme /li li Discretionary annual bonus /li li Private medical insurance and health cash plan /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead the introduction of new composites products, processes, machinery, and tooling into production /li li Provide feedback to the design team to ensure robust design for manufacture of composite parts /li li Act as the primary Engineering contact for Production and Maintenance teams /li li Lead initiatives to improve CNC machining processes to reduce cycle time and scrap, enhance equipment availability, and support product repairs and introductions /li li Collect, analyze, and interpret complex process data to inform technical development /li li Facilitate PPS activities to resolve quality issues within defined timeframes /li li Maintain and update production process documentation (process flows, PFMEAs, control plans) /li li Support creation and revision of production documents (SOPs, work instructions, product standards) /li li Manage engineering changes for existing production parts /li li Present project status updates and KPIs to stakeholders /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li CNC programming experience is essential /li li Proficiency with at least 1 CAM package is essential /li li Experience in manufacturing engineering, ideally in composites /li li Familiarity with CAPEX procurement is advantageous /li li Structured problem-solving skills (8D, PPS) /li li Ability to lead process improvement projects (DMAIC) /li li Data handling and analysis of large datasets /li li Data collection systems design and PFMEA/control plan updates knowledge /li li Strong presentation and communication skills /li li Change management familiarity /li li Excellent IT proficiency /li li Self-motivated with leadership capability /li li Adaptable in dynamic environments /li li Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills /li li Flexible and open-minded /li /ul ul li Self-motivated /li li Strong communication /li li Interpersonal skills /li li CNC programming /li li CAM package proficiency /li li Composites machining experience (advantageous) /li /ul
