We are recruiting for a Quality Compliance Engineer to join our Quality team in Woking. Working within the Compliance team in the Quality Compliance and Change Management department where you will be responsible for:
- Planning and execution of activities associated with the Conformity of Production (COP) requirements, and the execution of the COP Control plan.
- Planning and execution of activities associated with compliance to Quality Management System requirements and IATF 16949 standard.
- Planning and execution of activities associated with ELV/RRR compliance.
- Facilitation of the Continuous Improvement (CI) process and related activities supporting all functions within the Quality department.
This is a critical role in the department ensuring the business and its products are consistently compliant to regulatory requirements and the IATF 16949 standard. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the role encompasses the independence, self-management and objectivity necessary to drive all stakeholders in the key business processes as per their responsibility and accountability.
- Facilitate completion of all activities leading to the company certification to the IATF 16949 automotive standard.
- Conduct component assessments in line with End of Life Vehicle (ELV) and Reuse Recycle Recover (RRR) regulatory requirement and drive resolution to all follow-up activities.
- Define and generate adequate COP/ELV/RRR/QMS compliance related reports to demonstrate progress status as necessary and communicate effectively to the business.
- Maintain all Compliance related internal documentation in line with the requirements of the QMS.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the Compliance systems, processes and reporting.
Previous experience in the automotive industry is beneficial. Knowledge of legislative requirements applicable to passenger cars including conformity of production procedures is beneficial. Previous experience in Quality Management Systems and processes is beneficial. Project management skills are beneficial. University degree is required - Systems or Engineering degree is preferred but not essential or at least 5 years of relevant previous experience in any of the relevant functions (COP, QMS, ELV/RRR).
