Purpose of the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to join McLaren Racing for one year as an Operations Intern. You’ll play a key role in supporting a broad range of operational activities, helping to refine processes, enhance tools, and improve ways of working across multiple functions. Working within our wider Operations team, you’ll contribute to maintaining and improving operational procedures, using digital tools and data to help drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the coordination and delivery of operational improvement initiatives across the wider Operations team.
- Contribute to streamlining processes and driving consistency across operational functions.
- Assist in identifying inefficiencies and improving workflow in day-to-day operations.
- Gather information and help investigate operational issues, supporting root-cause analysis and resolution efforts.
- Identify potential risks or process gaps and assist in developing proactive solutions.
- Support simple modelling, testing, or scenario-based reviews to help anticipate operational challenges.
What You’ll Bring:
- Currently studying towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline and returning to study after the internship.
- Some experience working in a motorsport or team-based environment.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a team-focused environment and contribute positively to shared goals.
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to present data clearly and work to defined timelines.
