Our 13-month Engineering Internship offers you the opportunity to contribute to Mc Laren Racing's performance while gaining first-hand experience of how a Formula 1 team operates.
- The placement will begin in July 2027 and sit within one of four areas:
- Aerodynamics
- including CFD, Wind Tunnel Tech, Aero Design and Aero Operations
- Design
- including Bodywork, Monocoque, Pit Equipment, Suspension, Systems, Transmission and Process Improvement
- Performance
-including Competitor Analysis, Performance Analysis, Simulation Engineering and Vehicle Dynamics
- Racing
- -including Strategy, Pitstops & Operational Capability
What You'll Do
You will take responsibility for meaningful engineering projects that can directly influence on-track performance.
With guidance and support from experienced colleagues, you will apply your existing knowledge, develop new skills and contribute as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

Qualifications
- What You'll Bring
- You will be completing a placement year as part of a degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a scientific discipline and be ready to begin in July 2027.
- You will be working towards a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
- General computing skills and software knowledge relevant to your chosen placement area.
- A practical approach to engineering and strong problem-solving skills.
- A passion for motorsport; previous motorsport experience is welcome but not essential.
