Based in Woking, the role requires the individual to provide the first level of support within the business for the Treasury function. The successful candidate will be required to develop a strong working relationship with Finance and work with a variety of team members across McLaren Automotive’s finance and commercial functions to ensure all key treasury related activities are controlled successfully. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to build relationships with different people from a variety of backgrounds to achieve a common goal. The role requires an individual with a hands-on approach who would like to build on their experience and knowledge through working closely with the Group Treasurer. The candidate will have existing treasury knowledge and will continue to develop themselves further through a variety of learning programmes both within McLaren and externally through 3rd party providers in order to expand on their treasury management knowledge and skills. Previous experience in the Motorsport, Automotive or Manufacturing sector is preferred.
The main accountabilities are:
- Management of the daily cash position, including variance analysis, review of treasury transactions including foreign exchange and payment team proposals across multiple accounts and entities.
- Manage short- and long-term liquidity strategies in alignment with organizational objectives whilst maximising returns.
- Monitor foreign exchange, interest rate exposure, and other financial risks, recommending and executing appropriate hedging strategies.
- Daily management reporting of cash / debt position to Group Treasurer and CFO. Ensuring all foreign exchange settlements are made on time.
- Become a super user of SAP with specific responsibility for the treasury functions including accurate input of trades into SAP.
- Review SAP functionality and develop wider use of SAP for booking of treasury transactions.
- Maintain HSBCnet banking system for the McLaren Automotive Group – working with the Group Treasurer to ensure efficient and secure banking is available at all times.
- Manage treasury reporting and analytics for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Support and manage Treasury projects relating to Treasury Systems and strategic initiatives from time to time.
- Manage monthly accounting closing for the Treasury activities and related SAP postings.
- Prepare and review quarterly hedge accounting documentation.
