What to Expect
We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst, who will be responsible for the drive of long-term business planning by executing complex financial simulations and business case analyses for cross-functional stakeholders. You will ensure critical planning information is available in the right format to surface insights for long-term strategic decisions and performance tracking. This position will play a central role in the development and governance of simulation models, Business Intelligence Dashboards, and Enterprise Performance Management systems. You will support the broader planning process on an ad hoc basis to solve process pain points and implement continuous improvement solutions across the department. This is a fixed term role for 2 years.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to conduct sensitivity analysis on Bill of Materials (BoM), assessing the financial impact across multiple active vehicle programmes.
- Partner closely with Commercial, Operational, Engineering, and Project Management stakeholders to evaluate the financial implications of volume alterations and product launch timing shifts.
- Model, track, and simulate the movement of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) across various vehicle programmes to ensure alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate with the broader FP&A team, Controllership, and Finance Business Partners to develop dashboards and business intelligence tools that meet the analytical needs of wider business stakeholders.
- Develop new capabilities in the Enterprise Performance Management system, working directly with the Finance Transformation team, IT, and specialist external partners as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Finance, Engineering, Commercial, or Project Management disciplines.
- Formal accounting qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) are advantageous but not essential.
- Strong commercial awareness is required with a sound understanding of business complexity.
- Experienced in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP ECC, SAP S/4Hana, Power BI, and Power Query/M Query, with the ability to design automated reporting solutions and streamline complex finance data processes.
- Proven track record in scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and evaluating long-term business cases within a complex organisational matrix.
- Industry experience in global businesses characterised by manufacturing, supply chain, technology and product development, such as automotive or capital goods.
- Practical understanding of project lifecycles and relevant financial mechanics, including product development capex, supplier tooling, cost of production / cost of goods sold, and revenue recognition.
- Strict focus on effective and timely delivery, meeting precise internal customer specifications for complex analytical requests to satisfy internal customer needs.
- Passionate about finding innovative solutions to new analytical challenges, with a demonstrated willingness to adapt to rapid changes and deliver at pace.
- A team-player who works well in multi-disciplined teams and independently with the resourcefulness and resilience to deliver quality work under pressure.
