What to Expect
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our fantastic services team based in Woking.
As the Maintenance Technician at Mc Laren, you will be undertaking the repair and maintenance of all production equipment within the Mc Laren Production and Technology Centre.
You will perform reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing plant and equipment.
The role requires a high technical skill level alongside a proactive approach to resolving issues and implementing countermeasures.
The role would see you working Monday to Friday day shift, which alternates from early to late shift on a rotating pattern, with an on call rota.
- What You’ll Do
- Undertake and repair key production equipment.
- Undertake planned maintenance work.
- Effective supervision of the subcontractor activities as and when required.
- Identification of continuous improvement of plant, equipment, and systems.
- Compliant with health, safety, and environmental policy requirements within area of responsibility.
- Effective logging and documentation of reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
- What You’ll Bring
- A recognized apprenticeship/similar qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering
- High level of diagnostic and fault‑finding experience on plc‑controlled equipment. Demonstrable experience in system improvement.
- Good mechanical system knowledge i. e. pumps, vacuum, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
- Effective fault finding on critical production equipment.
- Experience of fault finding and maintenance activity on PC, PLC, and electromechanically controlled production equipment.
- Robust experience in a similar role/industry.
- Knowledge of automated control systems and manufacturing and process equipment.
