The MPC Stores Operator will be expected to lead by example while working both within and across functions. Ensuring the MPC (McLaren Production Centre) facility remains compliant and that the production equipment is maintained per manufacturer recommendations. What You'll Do * Manage the day to day running of the Critical Spares Stores. The ordering and storage with accurate database with understanding of stock flow and life expectancy. * Ensuing sensitive critical spares equipment is managed accordingly i.e. control unit for VIN etch as an example (back up batteries etc.) * Supporting the Production facility equipment i.e. stillages, lineside cabinets, battery chargers for example, with ability to weld/repair as required. * Managing deliveries and working with the critical spares Technician on accurate storage location and quantities on the database system. * Supporting in the build up to annual Shutdown and attendance through all planned Shutdowns. * Supporting the Maintenance Team with the LOLER/PUWER and calibration throughout the year. * Supporting the Maintenance Team/Facility Technician/MMS as required What You'll Bring * An ability to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority is essential. * Needs to be a lateral thinker and be able to make structured and objective decisions. * Demonstrate a methodical approach towards problem solving. * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. * The applicant must be extremely trustworthy. * Excellent attention to detail * Have value added experience in the field of high-performance vehicle manufacturing.
