A permanent, full-time Occupational Health Technician role based in Barrow-in-Furness, supporting a key client site and helping people stay safe and well at work.
The Role
You will support our client in Barrow-in-Furness by delivering a range of Occupational Health services, helping to promote a safe, healthy and productive workplace.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out health surveillance programmes, fitness-for-work assessments, wellbeing checks and supporting workplace health initiatives. You will undertake clinical testing in line with established protocols, maintain accurate records and ensure the highest standards of service delivery across the client site.
Working as an Occupational Health Technician, you will manage your day-to-day workload while remaining connected to the wider MCL Medics team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your Occupational Health career within a supportive and experienced environment.

About You
- Previous experience as an Occupational Health Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Military Medic or in a similar health screening role
- Experience carrying out health surveillance activities, or willingness to undertake training
- Confident working independently and managing a busy clinic schedule
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages and electronic health record systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience in audiometry, spirometry and HAVS screening
- Experience in drug and alcohol testing
- Experience supporting vaccination and wellbeing programmes
- Occupational Health experience within a commercial or industrial environment
