Job Purpose The Stores Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the stores/warehouse function, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of goods. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, implementing stock control procedures, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of store staff, including receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, equipment, and supplies. Ensure proper stock handling, storage, and security to minimize loss, damage, or theft. Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliations. Oversee stock replenishment and ensure timely availability of materials for operations. Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices. Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation related to stock movement and usage. Conduct regular audits of stock and storage areas for compliance with company policies and safety standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate store personnel to build an efficient and motivated team. Liaise with procurement, production, and other departments to forecast and meet material requirements. Manage the transfers and stock requests from the stores to 50 Vans Develop, manage and maintain all store and van assets (tools and equipment) on an asset register Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the stores. Manage Stores in Belfast, Dublin and Cork (primary base in Belfast but travel is required) Manage sales to trade customers Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and MS Office. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
