We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes of practice. Salary – £31,000 – £42,000 dependent on experience + Monthly productivity bonus (average £5k per annum) Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and commission fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional). Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on fire detection systems. Perform routine servicing and testing in accordance with BS5839 standards. Complete detailed service reports and documentation. Liaise with clients and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Participate in on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs when required. Person Specification: Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems including addressable systems (e.g., Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Morley). Understanding of BS5839 and other relevant standards. Full UK driving licence. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Desirable Criteria: FIA or equivalent fire alarm training certification. Experience with emergency lighting systems. Knowledge of other life safety systems (e.g., access control, CCTV).
