We back ambition with real funding and smart tools, backed by a team that gets what running a business takes. Our model puts people over paperwork - we work with brokers and business owners to deliver funding that fits, without the faff.

Our Mission

To reshape SME finance and level the playing field for good - giving ambitious businesses the fast, fair funding they need to build what's next.

The Role

As Senior Management Accountant, you'll take ownership of core reporting and control activity while helping us build a robust, scalable finance function. The role offers broad exposure across management reporting, finance operations, treasury support, payroll and process improvement, with the chance to shape how finance supports a growing lending business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own month-end close and monthly management reporting, including accruals, prepayments, journals, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and variance analysis against budget, prior month and prior year.
  • Manage finance operations across the lending lifecycle, including reconciliations, payment flows and settlements.
  • Support treasury activities through weekly cash forecasting, funding-line management and lender reporting.
  • Prepare UK payroll and HMRC submissions.
  • Support finance systems, process improvement and automation, and help scale finance processes as the business grows.

What We're Looking For

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified, finalist or part-qualified.
  • Experience preparing monthly management accounts and delivering detailed variance analysis against budget, month on month and year on year.
  • Hands-on ownership of month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, journals, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Practical experience applying IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 in a financial services environment (lender, fintech, bank, specialist finance, or audit/advisory work with financial services clients), including hands-on IFRS 9 expected credit loss provisioning for a loan book.
  • Experience supporting treasury activities (cash forecasting, funding-line management or lender reporting) and preparing UK payroll and HMRC submissions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel.
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

Bonus Experience

  • Scaling finance processes in a growing business.
  • Background in SME lending, commercial finance or alternative lending.
  • Experience with finance systems improvement or automation.

Our Offer

  • Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus.
  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).
  • Private health insurance with AXA.
