Overview
Mobile Steam boiler operator. The role includes working on customer sites in Market Drayton, Stoke and Stafford. Attending to undertake daily steam boiler operator duties. Vehicle provided for undertaking. Mon-Fri only.
Responsibilities
- Daily & Weekly operational duties
- Sign in and log attendance
- Blow down all on-line boilers via main rear blow down
- Blow down boiler sight glasses
- Check integrity of water level alarms
- Check level in hotwell, check chemical additions
- Change over lead boiler [if no auto changeover]
- Check duplex water softener operation
- Check feed water pump operation [and changeover]
- Check motorized valves for correct operation
- Check chemical dosing pump for correct operation
- Liaise with MCL Mobile engineer for any reporting
- Take pH readings and log
Qualifications
- Full clean UK driving licence. No overseas candidates will be considered.
- Training provided, engineering background beneficial.
