McKinty Associates are pleased to be working with a thriving local accountancy practice that is keen to expand their existing tax team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive firm where you will gain hands-on experience across a range of clients in the private, public, and voluntary sectors.
Focusing on personal and corporate tax compliance, while assisting with ad hoc advisory work, this could be an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified (CTA/ATT) professional who is ready to take the next step in their career or an Assistant Manager/Tax Manager.
Key duties will include:
- Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, and directors.
- Deliver high-quality compliance services, with involvement in advisory projects.
- Review personal and corporate tax returns.
- Advise clients on a range of tax issues including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax planning, and corporation tax.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and support the Tax Director in delivering bespoke tax advice.
- Support junior staff by mentoring and providing technical guidance, including review of work and feedback.
The Ideal Candidate…
- ATT, CTA, ACCA, or ACA Qualified
- Or qualified by experience (5 years relevant experience in a similar mixed tax role)
- Strong tax background, preferably within a mixed tax role
- Experience of mentoring and reviewing work of more junior members
- Excellent organizational skills & the ability to work towards deadlines efficiently
