We’re recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a successful business in Newry on a fixed-term contract. This is a commercial, value-adding finance role with real exposure to the leadership team. Alongside producing accurate financial information, you’ll help improve reporting, develop KPIs, strengthen financial processes and support business planning and decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of Group Management Accounts
  • Assisting with the development and reporting of KPIs
  • Supporting preparation of the monthly Board Report
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing bank and supplier reconciliations
  • Preparing UK VAT, payroll, subcontractor and other statutory returns prior to submission
  • Assisting with branch CIT, VAT, payroll, subcontractor and other statutory returns
  • Preparing annual financial statements and audit files
  • Preparing annual budgets and business plans
  • Preparing grant applications and claims
  • Developing and improving financial systems and processes
  • Mentoring and developing other members of the finance team
  • Ensuring statutory surveys are completed on time

This role would suit an experienced accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers, working closely with senior stakeholders and making a genuine contribution to the wider business.
