Our exclusive client is succession planning following planned retirement and an exciting role has become available for a strong and commercial Financial Controller reporting into the leadership team. Currently, the FD works a couple of days per week, so this really is the face of finance with the advantage of having someone to bounce ideas off and work collaboratively. There will be lots of visibility across the business and your new role is positioned to add real commercial value to the business as they grow and expand.
Main Duties will include:
- Currently using Sage 50 and moving up to Sage 200 imminently
- Prepare full management accounts and financial statements including overseeing regulatory returns, Tax, VAT, PAYE
- Oversee day-to-day finance team and department with leadership, mentorship etc.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, KPI reports utilising analytical tools and enhancing these reports
- Prepare detailed board pack with presentation to the Board
- Support pricing, contracts, investment appraisals by working closely with various operational/sales teams across the business
- Provide commercial support and strategic input into financial and commercial decision making
- Continue with the close relationship with external advisors, financial institutions etc.
- Manage contract with insurers and brokers across a multisite environment
- All company secretarial matters
The ideal person:
- Experience as a Financial Controller working in a fast-paced environment
- Location: this is an office-based role 9-5
- Strong commercial acumen, strong analytical skills and proven communication skills being able to influence and stand by the numbers so the best decisions are made
