The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 £ per year.
We are pleased to be working on behalf of one of Ireland's leading distribution firms who have an immediate need for an experienced Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant to join their accounts team.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Monthly accruals & prepayments.
- Processing of sales and purchase invoices as required.
- Supplier payments, bank reconciliations, expenses and credit card postings.
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and journal postings.
- Preparation of VAT, intrastat and EC sales returns as well as other statistical and statutory returns.
- Support in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audit including ad hoc analysis.
- Other ad hoc financial duties as required.
Essential eligibility criteria:
- Recent experience in a fast-paced commercial accounting role.
- Qualified Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant.
- Experience of preparing management accounts.
- Experience of a multi-company, multi-currency finance environment.
- Experience in accounts packages (Sage).
- Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, sumif, pivot tables etc).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good numeracy aptitude and keen eye for detail.
- Time management and working towards tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment.
