McKinty Associates are pleased to be working with a Global Engineering firm who have a requirement for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Role Overview: Working within a busy finance team, to ensure all income is invoiced and monies due are received.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Banking
- Raising invoices accurately
- Filing payment run documents
- Setting up vendor / customer accounts
- Managing credit control – credit checks, payment chasing and sending statements
- Analysis of debtor’s accounts
- Liaising with other departments – releasing holds / payment notifications
- Supporting month end processes
- Other adhoc duties as required to support the wider business
Eligibility criteria:
- 5 GCSEs to include Mathematics and English at Grade C and above
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
- Previous experience in a similar role (2 years or more)
- Experience in accounts packages
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software (particularly Excel)
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Good numeracy and time management skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Team player
