Who You'll Work With

You will join our Tax Group as a Transferee Tax Manager. The Transferee Tax Group oversees the firm’s mobility taxes and provides tax advice for all cross-border activities, including international business travel, remote work, and Partner and Non-Partner mobility.

Your Impact

You will provide strategic tax counsel by supporting firm leadership and individual transferees on tax matters to enhance a high-value international mobility program. You will offer proactive, executive-level tax support for strategic Partner moves, ensuring a comprehensive global overview of their tax position.

In terms of mobility operationalization, you will communicate the tax implications of international mobility to transferees and assist them with their transition into new tax systems, explaining complex tax details clearly for smooth transitions. You will collaborate with various firm functions such as Mobility, Benefits, Payroll, Accounting and Finance, Legal, and Human Resources, as well as external advisors, to ensure seamless transitions for all parties involved. Working closely with sending and receiving offices, you will facilitate smooth mobility processes. Additionally, you will work within the Tax Group to provide excellent tax support to Partners and colleagues.

Your role will also involve managing projects and stakeholders, partnering with Tax Directors and Senior Managers on Partner mobility transfers and global/regional projects. Managing interactions with Non-Partner transfers and local stakeholders will be crucial to address mobility complexities.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • An excellent academic background, including a recognized tax or accounting qualification (ACA, ATT, CTA)
  • 5+ years of experience managing mobility tax affairs of senior executives, including social security and payroll issues, gained in accounting practice or in-house at a large multinational; experience in compliance risk management and operational improvements is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement effective tax processes
  • Effective collaboration skills across international teams and the ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Ability to deliver excellent client service within a global team, balancing attention to detail with a broad international outlook
