Your Impact
As the Specialist of External Talent (Contingent Workforce) Tech, you will have a broad and impactful scope of responsibility, ensuring the effective management of McKinsey's external workforce ecosystem. Your role will span strategic, operational, and relationship management dimensions, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in external workforce processes. In this role you will serve as a key advisor to Optimize leaders and firm members, ensuring external workforce solutions align with business needs and talent strategies. You will oversee the endâtoâend lifecycle of Tech onboarding, offboarding, and exception handling, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a seamless experience for all stakeholders. You will act as a steward of operational excellence, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, and introduce innovative approaches to external workforce management. Additionally, you will manage risk and compliance related to external workforce operations, ensuring adherence to McKinsey's policies and regulatory requirements. Lastly you will influence and shape the firm's external workforce strategy by providing insights, feedback, and recommendations based on your expertise and operational experience.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate degree required, preferably in a field related to business
- 3+ years of External Worker program or project management experience
- Expertise in external workforce models, including onboarding, renewal, and offboarding processes
- Experience managing thirdâparty providers, including performance management against SLAs and KPIs
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders
- Technical competence, ability to adapt to changing technology landscape, including automation/integrations
- Excellent problemâsolving and analytical skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and compliance
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastâpaced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
