You will support the overall Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function modernization plan and related initiatives, driving the E&C program strategy and objective setting and working directly with E&C leadership to develop and maintain the annual compliance program and related initiatives. Additionally, you will support initiatives to enable E&C program leader’s goal setting and planning, ensuring all areas of E&C are consistent and in line with the overall program strategy.
You will work in the E&C’s Strategic Operations & Regulatory Response pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm adheres to global regulatory and reporting requirements and expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and leading initiatives that drive global E&C program effectiveness, with a distinctive focus on continuous improvement.
You will lead key initiatives that enable the broader E&C function to be successful and will be expected to facilitate collaboration for your team with leaders both within E&C and across our firm. Additionally, you will support and manage initiatives and projects with a focus on analyzing key processes and controls, and improvements with a particular focus on simplification and optimization of the end user experience.
You will also support the management of the overall E&C technology ecosystem, working with the Compliance Manager, Design & Transformation, to manage E&C technology solutions, assisting in the implementation of new technology solutions and recommending ways to integrate and consolidate our dedicated E&C tools. You will support change management efforts to ensure initiatives and projects have proper adoption and engagement by stakeholder groups.
You will assist in tracking performance metrics to determine areas of efficiency and effectiveness related to E&C processes and controls and monitor KPIs and other related indicators to ensure we are responsive to design and optimization activities. You will also contribute and be a thought partner within the function, in addition to supporting key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives, as relevant.
Additionally, you will engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction and coordination of our regional E&C leaders, to raise awareness of and further the firm’s E&C program, and other agreed-upon supporting activities in your region or location.
Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups (e.g., Legal, Risk, Finance, Procurement) across our firm in a timely and efficient manner on existing, new, or enhanced procedures, policies, or guidelines. Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
The E&C function’s mission is to manage risks to our firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling our firm’s client impact and innovation. The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our firm.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree(s) and/or applicable professional certifications (e.g., Juris Doctor or CPA) preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in program/project management, strategy and operation, and transformation type roles; Experience in ethics, compliance, risk, legal, and/or governance programs preferred.
- Professional services and/or consulting experience, with a strong preference for McKinsey consulting experience, is required.
- Program and/or project management experience, including large transformations, is required.
- Technology integration, implementation, and/or enablement experience, including experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI), is required.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion.
- Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning.
- Ability to create work product-focused materials/outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels.
