You will be responsible for conducting research, building knowledge, and guiding the creation and revision of firm policies and standards repositories for technology, AI, and data risk topics.

You will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies for our firm that improve our risk management and advisory program.

You will manage and execute initiatives to ensure new and existing risk topics are understood, documented, communicated, and incorporated into firm risk policies and frameworks as applicable.

You will proactively address cross-functional issues and set policies and guidelines for the firm where appropriate.

You will form strategic partnerships across Risk, Technology, client service, and other functions.

Your work will help increase the firm’s knowledge and understanding of critical risk topics and ensure that this knowledge is reflected in our firm’s policies, frameworks, and guidance.

You will be part of Mc Kinsey’s Client Service Risk (CSR) function, whose mission is to enable Mc Kinsey’s client impact and innovation, while managing risks to our clients, our firm, and our people.

In the Global Technology Risk team, we are helping ensure positive and lasting impact from the Tech and AI revolution through pragmatic, expert and integrated technology risk capabilities.

Our goal is to act as trusted thought-partners to the firm's leadership on technology and its risks, serving as innovative problem solvers.

We offer deep expertise on emerging issues and trends, drawing on a strong network of relationships within and beyond the firm.

You will be based in Europe as part of our Client Service Risk team.

Your team supports our engagement and technology as strategic risk advisors, ensuring that our client service and technology delivery meet firm and regulatory standards.

  • Your Qualifications and Skills
  • University degree and excellent academic record required
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in managing complex risk and/or IT programs
  • Proven track record and expertise in developing risk management, information security, AI or data management policies and procedures, successfully executing programs that meet the objectives of excellence in a dynamic environment, as well as experience working with relevant (incl. senior) stakeholders
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and work collaboratively with others; entrepreneurial and collaborative attitude
  • Demonstrated capability working across all levels of seniority; ability to meaningfully engage with senior leaders
  • Radiates knowledge to others to support and empower their success (e. g., apprenticing/coaching others)
  • When acting as a people leader, holds individuals accountable for results; fosters a team culture that is collaborative, inclusive, respectful and sustainable
