Highly successful London based law firm are looking for a practice manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the firm, and to fully manage all aspects of the business including human resources, recruitment, compliance, billing and finance, as well as direct management of both the administrative and fee earning departments. You will report directly to the partners and be instrumental in driving performance, improving processes, and ensuring the firm remains compliant and competitive, as well as being involved in the strategic decisions of the business.
Responsibilities
- Management and oversight of the administration and support functions
- Management and support of all fee-earning staff
- Support to the IT, finance and compliance teams
- Facilities management
- Supplier management and procurement: reviewing and negotiating third party contract terms
- Management of the human resource function of the business including absence management, L&D plans, and all employment relations matters
- Management and administration of all recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, covering the full employee lifecycle and liaising with recruiters
- Responsible for the review and update of all office manual policies
- Planning and coordination of all training
- Ensuring the firm’s policies are compliant with data protection laws and confidentiality
- Managing performance management across all staffing levels

The ideal individual will have a proven track record working for another law firm in a senior management position, along with strong leadership skills and the confidence to motivate, guide and support colleagues at all levels. You will be someone who can communicate clearly, solve problems calmly and proactively, and foster a positive, collaborative culture across the firm.
