Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking law firm with a strong reputation in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, is seeking to appoint an experienced Commercial Litigation Partner. This is a key strategic hire for the firm and presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and capable litigator to lead a growing team and play a central role in shaping the department’s future direction.

The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of commercial litigation work while providing supervision and guidance to a small but capable team. You will be expected to combine hands-on fee-earning work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that high professional standards are maintained and that the team continues to deliver exceptional service to clients.

Candidates must be qualified solicitors in England and Wales with at least seven years’ post-qualification experience, and will have spent the majority of their career practising commercial or general litigation within a small to mid-sized firm. A strong academic background and a proven track record in handling complex disputes are essential.

While a client following would be advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. The firm is equally interested in hearing from individuals who can demonstrate strong business development acumen and the enthusiasm and initiative to generate new opportunities. The ability to lead and motivate others is crucial, as is the capacity to communicate clearly and assertively with clients and colleagues who possess a strong understanding of legal and commercial issues.

This role requires a solicitor with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, sound business judgment, and the confidence to make strategic decisions. In return, the successful candidate will join a supportive and ambitious environment where their expertise and leadership will be rewarded. Some hybrid working will be available once you’re up and running.
