Location: Central London

A mid-size, tier 1 law firm is looking for a business development and marketing manager to assist with the growth of the firm. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of a successful and established brand in the legal sector. The firm is happy to take on an experienced marketing and BD executive looking for the next step in their career and take on a management role within their BD & marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising lawyers on pitch proposals
  • Creating and implementing plans to raise the profile of the firm as well as develop strategies to win new business
  • Collating research material and creating responses for clients
  • Monitoring all BD activities and tracking results and ROI
  • Monitoring industry news, website, competitors and updates and coordinating market research
  • Researching and looking at innovative ideas to improve communication of the firms’ offering to clients
  • Drafting and posting material on the firms’ website and external communication channels / social media management / liaising with the firm’s web designers
  • Producing articles and literature including client newsletters and bulletins
  • Liaising with external designers to create new material as required
  • Organising and managing all marketing events

This is a broad role that would suit a candidate looking for more direct input in a mid-size firm than perhaps some large global firms can offer. Experience in BD & Marketing in a law firm is essential and the role will suit an experienced executive looking for a step up in responsibility and autonomy and take on their first management role.
