Location: Central London
Our client, a leading commercial litigation boutique law firm, are looking to take on a law graduate, who has completed the SQ1 / LPC, to join their small team and assist with high value, complex disputes. It is essential that you have outstanding academics, a very positive and proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic. If you have some experience in commercial litigation, that would be beneficial, but they are also happy to see candidates who have completed the SQE 1 or Bar Course, who are looking for their first role. This is a small team and you will be given high levels of responsibility from day 1 (although full training will be provided).
A selection of responsibilities:
- Undertaking legal research
- Putting together trial bundles
- Document review
- Liaising with counsel
- Drafting: witness statements, instructions to Counsel, disclosure letters, pleadings etc.
- Proof reading and redacting documents
- Locating and instructing expert witnesses
- Note taking: Attending client meetings and court
- Advising clients throughout all stages of the litigation process
Candidate Attributes:
- Exceptional academics including a 2.1 or 1st from a leading university
- Confident communication, stakeholder management, and client skills – there will be extensive client liaison
- A proactive manner and willingness to go above and beyond
