One of our clients, a leading law firm, is looking for a proactive and client-focused litigation lawyer with a solid background in debt recovery / asset recovery / insolvency to join their highly regarded litigation and recoveries team and work with high profile clients and high value work. In this role, you will manage your own caseload while delivering high-quality legal support and practical solutions for your clients. It is essential that you are able to work with minimal supervision.
The role involves representing financial institutions, lenders, and commercial organisations in the recovery of outstanding debts and assets, including managing any related legal proceedings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied litigation caseload independently, providing clear and practical advice to clients.
- Advising clients on litigation strategy and the most commercially effective approach to resolving their disputes.
- Drafting and preparing a range of legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, court applications, and professional correspondence with clients, courts, and opposing parties.
- Handling disputes across the Small Claims, Fast Track and Multi-Track, guiding cases from the pre-action stage through to resolution and enforcement where necessary.
- Keeping clients regularly informed by contributing to reporting processes and providing timely updates on case progress.
- Responding to enquiries from prospective clients, explaining the firm's services and directing them to the appropriate specialists where needed.
- Conducting legal research to support case strategy and identify practical, innovative solutions for clients.
- Ensuring compliance with firm policies and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requirements, including procedures relating to compliance, HR, and financial processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation and recoveries lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of their work, delivering high-quality client service, and being part of a supportive and professional legal environment. The client are open to the role being full time or part time, and compressed working patterns, as well as being fully remote.
